The Knit-Rite 4-Way Stretch BK Shrinker is a thoughtfully engineered shrinker for below knee amputees. The 4-Way BK Shrinker features stretchy polyester/Lycra core-spun yarns providing multidirectional stretch for a shrinker that creates less discomfort when applying. The 4-Way multidirectional stretch also prevents that pocket of extra material from forming along the bottom of your limb. Silicone beads along the top of the shrinker will prevent it from rolling down in the middle of the night. Knit-Rite has been manufacturing prosthetic textiles since the 1920s and they know how to engineer a quality shrinker.
82% Polyester, 18% Spandex
It is highly recommended that you consult with your prosthetic professional for proper guidelines on the application of this Knit-Rite BK shrinker and report any changes in the fit or the condition of your limb. Changes in your limb may occur over time and it may be necessary to take new measurements for a new Knit-Rite 4 Way shrinker. Do not wear the shrinker while your prosthesis is in use.
- Turn the 4-Way Stretch Shrinker inside out halfway
- The shrinker should be folded over itself. Use both hands to slip if over your residual limb.
- Turn the shrinker back to being right side out, pulling it evenly over your residual limb.
- Adjust for final placement and smooth out any crease using the palm of your hand in a gradual upwards motion.
Note: Do not pull the shrinker onto the limb by grasping the top edge only.
Do not dry clean. Wash in a laundry bag. Machine wash Warm. Do not Bleach. Tumble Dry. Do not iron.
If any issues or changes of your limb or skin develop, discontinue use and consult with your Prosthetist.
